What we collect

  • Analytics: we use Google Analytics (Google tag) to understand how visitors use the site — pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser. Google may set cookies to do this. See how Google uses data from sites that use its services.
  • Contact form: if you message us, we receive your name, email and message, and use them only to reply.
  • Tools: our tools run in your browser. Packing-list ticks and your last searched place are stored in your browser's local storage on your device, not on our servers. If you use "Use my location", your coordinates are used in your browser to request a forecast from Open-Meteo and are not stored by us.

Third parties

Weather searches send the place name or coordinates to Open-Meteo to return results. Addresses typed into Trip Finder are sent to OpenStreetMap's Nominatim geocoder to find their coordinates; "Use my location" coordinates stay in your browser (saved in local storage so the tool remembers your starting point). Affiliate links (for example to Amazon) may set cookies on the retailer's site to attribute purchases.

Your choices

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, use the Google Analytics opt-out add-on, and clear local storage to remove saved tool data. To ask about or delete data you've sent us, email info@arriveoutdoors.com.

Changes

We'll update this page if our practices change.
